How this destination works
Fwrd makes a direct HTTPS attempt from the iPhone to this destination when it is active. The destination service still controls final acceptance and delivery.
Before you begin
- A Slack workspace where you can add an incoming webhook
- A channel reserved for the messages you intend to forward
- Fwrd installed on the iPhone that receives the messages
Set up the destination

Create a Slack incoming webhook
In Slack, create an incoming webhook for the channel that should receive messages. Slack’s exact admin flow can vary by workspace.
Add Slack in Fwrd
Open Destinations in Fwrd, choose Add Destination, and select Slack.
Enter the webhook securely
Give the destination a clear name and paste the complete hooks.slack.com URL. Treat this URL like a password.

Review the destination name, save it, and leave it active when you want it included in forwarding attempts.
Run a safe test
Use a dedicated test destination and a message with no private or production data. A connection test is useful, but it does not prove an incoming SMS automation on a physical iPhone.
What counts as verified
A saved destination, completed checklist, or successful connection test is setup evidence—not delivery proof. Final verification requires a sanitized incoming SMS on a physical iPhone and the matching result at Slack, including a locked-device test when that is part of your intended use.
