Everything you need to write about Fwrd: the facts, the logo and the App Store pictures. I make Fwrd on my own, and I answer every question myself.

Facts

In one sentence: With Fwrd and a Shortcuts automation, the iPhone texts you pick go to Slack, Discord, Telegram, Teams, WhatsApp, email, another phone or a webhook. No account.
Name: Fwrd. On the App Store it’s “Fwrd: Auto SMS Forwarder”. It isn’t related to the FWRD fashion retailer, or to Fwrdly, a different app.
Made by: Alan, a solo developer.
Works on: iPhone, with iOS 26 or later.
First released: September 18, 2026, on the App Store.
Languages: The app speaks 16 languages.
Where texts go: Slack, Discord, Telegram, Microsoft Teams, WhatsApp, email, another phone number, or your own webhook. For email, another phone number and WhatsApp, Fwrd hands the text to the shortcut’s send step.
How it works: A Message automation in Apple’s Shortcuts app hands each text it matches to Fwrd. Fwrd walks you through setup with a ready-made shortcut.
Privacy: No account and no Fwrd server: texts go straight from the iPhone to the places you pick, and the forwarding history stays on the iPhone.
Price: Free for 15 forwarded texts a month. Fwrd Pro is $4.99 a month or $29.99 a year in the US, with a free trial on the yearly plan for eligible customers.
