Learn how Fwrd is intended to route qualifying iPhone messages to a Telegram chat through a customer-owned bot.

The route
A Shortcuts trigger starts the handoff
The user creates and controls a Message Personal Automation in Apple Shortcuts. When its criteria match, Shortcuts passes Message and Sender values into Fwrd’s Forward Message action, which makes the direct request to Telegram.
Message trigger
The user chooses the Shortcuts criteria that should invoke the automation.
Fwrd action
Fwrd receives the Message and Sender values from Shortcuts.
Telegram request
Fwrd attempts the active direct destination from the iPhone.
What Shortcuts requires
- You create, enable, edit, and disable the Message Personal Automation.
- The iPhone must be powered on and online for the direct request path.
- Fwrd does not choose a different destination from the message text or sender.
What this page does not prove
A source path, saved destination, or connection test is not proof of an incoming SMS automation on a physical iPhone. Final evidence requires a sanitized message, the intended device state, and the matching result at Telegram.
The destination service controls acceptance and delivery. Do not put real message contents, webhook URLs, bot tokens, or chat IDs into public feedback or waitlist forms.
Data and control
Direct destination requests are made from the customer’s iPhone. The destination service receives and processes the message under its own terms. The current build keeps a local forwarding log containing message text, sender, destination, time, and delivery result; Fwrd’s website waitlist does not collect message contents or destination credentials.
