Best iPhone SMS Forwarder for Microsoft Teams, Compared
By Fwrd ·
The best iPhone SMS forwarder for Microsoft Teams works with Teams Workflows, posts each text in a form a Workflow actually shows, and sends it from your iPhone with no service in between. Fwrd does that with no account and no Fwrd server, wrapping each text in the plain card a Teams Workflow posts, and its free plan includes Teams for 15 forwards a month. It needs iOS 26 or later, so if your iPhone runs an older version, the table below shows which apps run on it.
What you need: an iPhone, a Teams channel, a Workflow made from the “Send webhook alerts to a channel” template, and a rule for which texts to forward, such as ones that contain the word code.
Which iPhone apps forward texts to Microsoft Teams?
These six US App Store apps list Microsoft Teams as a destination. Ratings, minimum iOS and what each says about its servers come from Apple’s App Store data and each app’s own description, checked on November 4, 2026.

What matters when the destination is Teams
Teams changed how outside apps post in 2026, so this is where forwarders differ most.
- Workflows, not the old connector. Microsoft retired Office 365 Incoming Webhook connectors in May 2026, so a webhook.office.com address no longer delivers. A forwarder has to work with a Teams Workflow URL.
- A card, not plain text. A Workflow made from the “Send webhook alerts to a channel” template answers every request as accepted, but posts only an Adaptive Card. Plain text is accepted and never appears, so ask any app you consider how it formats the post.
- Where the Workflow URL lives. Anyone with it can post to your channel, so it belongs in the iPhone’s Keychain, not in a shortcut.
- A filter per channel, so a shared IT channel gets sign-in codes and nothing personal.
Why I’d pick Fwrd for Teams
I make Fwrd, so here’s my case, and each point is on its App Store page:
- Built for Teams Workflows. Fwrd wraps each text in a bare Adaptive Card, one plain line per line of the message, with no title or styling, so it shows up in the channel.
- Straight from your iPhone to the Workflow. No account, no Fwrd server and no Fwrd bot in your tenant. The URL stays in the iPhone’s Keychain.
- A filter on each Teams destination, by words, verification codes or hours.
- It tries again if Teams is slow, and Activity in Fwrd lists every forward and whether it was delivered.
- One text counts once across all your destinations.

How to forward iPhone texts to Teams with Fwrd
- Create the Workflow. In Teams, open Workflows, choose the “Send webhook alerts to a channel” template, pick your team and channel, and copy the URL it gives you.
- Add Microsoft Teams in Fwrd. Tap +, choose Microsoft Teams, paste the URL and tap Send Test Message.
- Create a Message automation in Shortcuts and set Message Contains to a word your texts include, such as code.
- Let it run without asking. Turn off Confirm Before Run on iOS 27, or choose Run Immediately on iOS 26.
- Add Fwrd’s action, Forward Message to All Destinations, with Message set to Shortcut Input.
Fwrd’s Teams page answers the common questions, and the Teams setup guide has a video of every tap.
What forwarding to Teams can’t do
- No app can read your texts on its own. iPhone gives apps no access to your messages, so each one needs the Shortcuts automation you set up.
- It can’t forward texts you already have, only new ones that arrive after the automation is on.
- It can’t work while the iPhone is off or offline, because the iPhone itself sends each text. After a restart, Fwrd waits until you unlock the phone once.
- Fwrd forwards the words, not pictures, and a reply in Teams doesn’t reach the sender.
Questions about forwarding texts to Teams
What’s the best app to forward iPhone texts to Microsoft Teams?
For a Teams channel, Fwrd: it posts from your iPhone straight to your Teams Workflow as the card Teams shows, with a filter for which texts go, no account, and 15 free forwards a month. It needs iOS 26 or later.
Why does Teams show nothing when a text was sent?
The Workflow was probably built from the bare webhook trigger, which accepts the request and posts nothing. Make it again from the “Send webhook alerts to a channel” template and use the new URL.
Does the old Incoming Webhook connector still work?
No. Microsoft retired Office 365 Incoming Webhook connectors in May 2026. Use a Teams Workflow URL instead.
Can I post to a private Teams channel?
Yes, if the Workflow can post there. Choose that channel when you make the Workflow, then tap Send Test Message in Fwrd.
