No, Pushbullet and MightyText can’t sync an iPhone’s texts: both read SMS through an Android app, and iOS doesn’t let any app read your messages. On iPhone, a Shortcuts automation with Fwrd forwards each new text to a chat app such as Telegram, which you can open on any computer, browser or Android device.

**What you need:** an iPhone on iOS 26 or later, the Shortcuts app (it’s already on your phone), and somewhere to send the texts, such as a Telegram bot, a Slack or Discord channel, or an email address.

## Do Pushbullet and MightyText work with iPhone?

Not for text messages. Each company’s own pages tie texting to an Android phone (checked October 18, 2026):

| App | iPhone texts? | What its own pages say |
|---|---|---|
| Pushbullet | No | SMS sync runs in [its Android app](https://help.pushbullet.com/articles/why-are-my-text-messages-stuck-pending/); its old [iPhone App Store listing](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/pushbullet/id810352052) returns “not found” |
| MightyText | No | [Its home page](https://www.mightytext.net/) offers texting from a computer using “your current Android phone number” |
| KDE Connect | No | The [iOS app](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/kde-connect/id1580245991) exists, but [KDE’s UserBase](https://userbase.kde.org/KDEConnect) lists SMS and notification sync as missing on iOS |

A US App Store search for “pushbullet” or “mightytext” on October 18, 2026 returned neither app. A [2017 answer on Apple’s Developer Forums](https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/86268) notes that an iPhone app isn’t allowed to see SMS messages, or even that one arrived. The same limit is why [no iPhone SMS API](https://www.fwrdsms.com/blog/iphone-sms-api) exists for developers.

## How do you get texts on your computer?

Forward new texts to a chat app or inbox that opens wherever you work. Telegram, Discord and Slack run in a browser, so they work on Windows, Mac, Linux, a Chromebook, a work laptop or an Android tablet. Email works the same way.

Apple’s Text Message Forwarding only reaches Apple devices signed in to your own Apple Account, so it doesn’t cover the other computers on that list. Forwarding does, because the destination is an app or an address, not a device pairing.

## How to forward iPhone texts like Pushbullet

These steps send each matching text to Telegram, which has apps for Android, Windows, Mac and Linux and runs in a browser. The automation is the same whichever destination you pick.

1. **Add a destination in [Fwrd](https://apps.apple.com/app/apple-store/id6759069713?pt=128544281&ct=blog-pushbullet&mt=8).** Open Fwrd, tap +, and choose Telegram. Paste your bot token and chat ID, tap Send Test Message, then save with the tick. [Forwarding SMS to Telegram](https://www.fwrdsms.com/iphone-sms-to-telegram) covers the bot and chat ID.

2. **Create a Message automation.** On iOS 27, open Shortcuts, tap Library, then Automation, then +. If you see Describe a shortcut, tap Edit. Tap Automation, then Message. On iOS 26, open the Automation tab, tap +, and choose Message.

![Shortcuts on iOS 27: the list of automation triggers, with Message marked under Communication](https://www.fwrdsms.com/guides/steps/sc-message-trigger-ee0e41db.jpg)

3. **Choose which texts to forward.** Choose Message Contains (on iOS 27, change Sender to Message), then type a word your texts contain, such as code. To forward any text with a space in it, type a single space instead.

4. **Make it run without asking.** On iOS 27, tap the arrow beside the trigger and check that Confirm Before Run is off. Under ⓘ, then Privacy, check that Allow Running When Locked is on. On iOS 26, choose Run Immediately, then tap Next and Create New Shortcut.

![The trigger opened with its arrow: Automation on, Confirm Before Run off](https://www.fwrdsms.com/guides/steps/sc-confirm-off-af785d18.jpg)

5. **Add Fwrd’s action.** Search for Forward and add Fwrd’s Forward Message to All Destinations. Tap its Message field and choose Shortcut Input (on iOS 26, Shortcut Input, then Message). Tap back to save (Done on iOS 26).

6. **That’s it.** New texts that contain your word now go to your Telegram chat on their own, with the iPhone unlocked or locked.

The [automation guide](https://www.fwrdsms.com/guides/automation) shows every screen on iOS 26 and iOS 27. To use [Discord](https://www.fwrdsms.com/iphone-sms-to-discord) or Slack instead, pick it in step 1. For email, another phone or WhatsApp, add Apple’s or WhatsApp’s own send action below Fwrd’s and give it Fwrd’s output; that action does the sending.

## Where Fwrd fits

Fwrd is the closest fit when you want what Pushbullet’s SMS sync gave you, new texts on every screen, without an account or a pairing. Here’s what it adds:

- **No account.** There’s no sign-up. Texts are processed on the iPhone and sent straight to your destinations.
- **Eight destinations.** Telegram, Slack, Discord, Microsoft Teams, your own [webhook](https://www.fwrdsms.com/iphone-sms-to-webhook) (which also works with Zapier, Make, n8n, Mattermost and Rocket.Chat), email, another phone or iMessage, and WhatsApp.
- **Filters.** Each destination can keep only texts with words you choose, texts that look like a verification code, or texts that arrive at certain hours. Email, another phone and WhatsApp need one extra step: put the send action inside an If in the shortcut.
- **One action, many places.** It posts to every active chat and webhook destination in the format each expects, and hands the text to the Email, Messages or WhatsApp action after it.

## What forwarding can’t do

Forwarding is one way and starts from the moment you set it up. Plan around these:

- **No replies as texts.** A reply in Telegram, Discord or Slack comes from your account there, not your iPhone number. Pushbullet and MightyText could reply because Android let them send SMS; iOS doesn’t.
- **New texts only.** It can’t copy your message history.
- **A rule is required.** Shortcuts matches a word in the text or a sender from your Contacts. A single space catches any text with a space in it, so a one-word reply or a bare link won’t match.
- **The phone has to be on and online.** Chat destinations need Wi-Fi or mobile data when the text arrives.
- **After a restart, unlock it once.** Fwrd keeps your destinations behind the same lock as saved passwords, so forwarding waits until the first unlock. An iPhone that isn’t unlocked for three days restarts itself, too.
- **Text only.** Pictures don’t forward.

## Questions people ask next

### Is there a Pushbullet app for iPhone?

Not one that syncs texts. Pushbullet’s help site still links to an iPhone app, but that App Store listing returned “not found” on October 18, 2026, and its SMS features run through the Android app.

### Does MightyText work with an iPhone?

No. MightyText’s home page describes texting from a computer with your Android phone number, and it isn’t on the App Store. To see iPhone texts on a computer, forward them to Telegram or any of Fwrd’s eight destinations.

### Can I reply to texts from my computer?

Not as texts. Forwarding to a chat app is read-only for texts: replies there come from your chat account, not your iPhone number.

### Does it cost anything?

Fwrd is free for 15 forwards a month, and a text counts once however many places it goes. Fwrd Pro removes the limit for $4.99 a month or $29.99 a year in the US.
