The best iPhone SMS forwarder for Slack posts each text from your iPhone straight to your channel’s incoming webhook, keeps the webhook URL out of plain sight, and lets each channel keep only the texts it needs. [Fwrd](https://apps.apple.com/app/apple-store/id6759069713?pt=128544281&ct=blog-best-slack&mt=8) does all three with no account and no Fwrd server, and its free plan includes Slack for 15 forwards a month. It needs iOS 26 or later, so if your iPhone runs an older version, the table below shows which apps run on it.

**What you need:** an iPhone, a Slack channel, permission to add an app with an incoming webhook to your workspace, and a rule for which texts to forward, such as ones that contain the word code.

## Which iPhone apps forward texts to Slack?

These seven US App Store apps list Slack as a destination. Ratings, minimum iOS and what each says about its servers come from Apple’s App Store data and each app’s own description, checked on November 4, 2026.

## What matters when the destination is Slack

Every app above runs inside a Message automation in Apple’s Shortcuts app, which hands each new text to the app’s action. The differences are in how each one treats the Slack side.

- **Incoming webhook, not Workflow Builder.** An incoming webhook posts plain text into one channel. A Workflow Builder link expects its own fields, so a forwarder built for webhooks should turn it away rather than fail quietly.
- **Where the webhook URL lives.** Anyone with it can post to your channel. Keeping it in the iPhone’s Keychain is safer than leaving it in a shortcut.
- **A filter per channel.** A #codes channel and a #deliveries channel need different texts, so each Slack destination should have its own filter.
- **What the post looks like.** Teams read texts quickest when the post is the text itself, with nothing added unless you ask for it.

## Why I’d pick Fwrd for Slack

I make Fwrd, so here’s my case, and each point is on its [App Store page](https://apps.apple.com/app/apple-store/id6759069713?pt=128544281&ct=blog-best-slack&mt=8):

- **Straight from your iPhone to Slack.** No account, no Fwrd server and no Fwrd app in your workspace. The webhook URL stays in the iPhone’s Keychain.
- **A filter on each Slack destination,** by words, verification codes or hours, so the codes channel gets only codes.
- **The text exactly as it arrived,** with no heading or time. Turn on Include Who Sent It and each post starts with a From: line.
- **It tries again** if Slack is slow or busy, and Activity in Fwrd lists every forward and whether it was delivered.
- **One text counts once,** even when it goes to Slack, email and Telegram together.

## How to forward iPhone texts to Slack with Fwrd

1. **Create an incoming webhook** at api.slack.com/apps: make an app, turn on Incoming Webhooks, add one to your workspace and pick the channel. Copy the URL, which starts with https://hooks.slack.com/services/.
2. **Add Slack in Fwrd.** Tap +, choose Slack, paste the URL and tap Send Test Message.
3. **Create a Message automation** in Shortcuts and set Message Contains to a word your texts include, such as code.
4. **Let it run without asking.** Turn off Confirm Before Run on iOS 27, or choose Run Immediately on iOS 26.
5. **Add Fwrd’s action,** Forward Message to All Destinations, with Message set to Shortcut Input.

[Fwrd’s Slack page](https://www.fwrdsms.com/iphone-sms-to-slack) answers the common questions, and the [Slack setup guide](https://www.fwrdsms.com/guides/slack) has a video of every tap.

## What forwarding to Slack can’t do

- **No app can read your texts on its own.** iPhone gives apps no access to your messages, so each one needs the Shortcuts automation you set up.
- **It can’t forward texts you already have,** only new ones that arrive after the automation is on.
- **It can’t work while the iPhone is off or offline,** because the iPhone itself sends each text. After a restart, Fwrd waits until you unlock the phone once.
- **Fwrd forwards the words, not pictures,** and replies in Slack don’t go back to the sender.

## Questions about forwarding texts to Slack

### What’s the best app to forward iPhone texts to Slack?

For a channel your team already watches, Fwrd: it posts from your iPhone straight to your channel’s incoming webhook, with a filter for which texts go, no account, and 15 free forwards a month. It needs iOS 26 or later.

### Can it post to a private Slack channel?

Yes. Join the private channel first, then choose it when you add the incoming webhook. Some workspaces need an admin to approve the Slack app before you can install it.

### Why won’t my Slack link work?

It’s probably a Workflow Builder link, which contains hooks.slack.com/triggers. Fwrd takes incoming webhook URLs, which start with https://hooks.slack.com/services/.

### Can I send texts to more than one channel?

Yes. Create an incoming webhook for each channel and add each one in Fwrd as its own Slack destination, each with its own filter if you want one.
